Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, February 17, 2025 – Tower Tech, the leading manufacturer of modular Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite cooling towers, has announced the expansion of its modular cooling tower line, adding closed-circuit models to its industry-leading open-circuit offerings. Tower Tech offers the open-circuit TTXR and TTXL modular cooling towers and has added the TTCC-FC (evaporative fluid cooling) and TTCC-HC (hybrid fluid cooling) closed-circuit models. This new line expansion meets a growing market need for modular closed-loop towers with the performance benefits of composites.

The closed-circuit line is adapted from the two decades of successes and usage data of the open-circuit line to deliver the same market-leading performance across the full line of Tower Tech modular cooling towers. “At Tower Tech, we chose to create a comprehensive, engineered technology; we don’t need dozens of products to meet customer needs,” said Mathu Solo, President, Tower Tech. “This has allowed us to focus on Sustainable Efficiency, a design that saves valuable resources, including energy, water, and chemical usage, all while reducing your carbon footprint.” Tower Tech is the only domestic manufacturer with a full line of CTI-certified modular cooling towers that has earned hurricane-force wind ratings, FM-approved fire ratings, and missile impact certification.

Tower Tech’s open-circuit cooling towers have a unique upside-down design that eliminates side louvers and open basins. This significantly reduces Legionella growth risks and gives the towers a smaller required footprint overall. Made of composites, the towers are also significantly lighter than conventional towers and are factory pre-assembled, allowing for faster delivery and installation. The high-quality material and engineered technology increase longevity while providing the most reliable redundant operation. The same is true of the Tower Tech closed-circuit line. The TTCC models prioritize water conservation and strict contamination prevention of the process fluid, making them ideal for the food and beverage industry, data centers and HVAC installations using heat pumps for decarbonization through high-efficiency electricification. “The closed-circuit towers aren’t really a new product,” said Shane Weyant, CEO, Creative Composites Group. Tower Tech took everything great about the highly successful open-circuit tower and engineered new internal components to create the high-performing closed-circuit models.”

A significant achievement is patented XchangeTech™ polymer coils (for closed-loop) and fill media (available for both open- and closed-loop). “We optimize the fill media specifically for Tower Tech’s unique design,” said Solo. “Compared to conventional fill media and coils, XchangeTech™ improves performance and efficiency and reduces maintenance.” These composite internal components are inherently corrosion-resistant, substantially reducing maintenance and repair times, in addition to weight savings.

About Tower Tech:

Tower Tech is the leader in modular cooling tower design that has turned the industry upside-down by mounting fans on the bottom and introducing more efficient and innovative water-cooling technologies to the market. Our full line of open-circuit and closed-circuit towers lower the total lifetime cost of ownership and combat increased utility costs by saving water and electricity. Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) components are factory-assembled in the USA in our ISO-certified facility. FRP is an advanced composite material that is corrosion-resistant and known for low maintenance and longevity. Our FireStrong™ towers are fire-rated for critical installations, and our StormStrong® towers are hurricane, missile impact and seismic-rated to ensure operation in extreme conditions. Tower Tech’s HVAC technology is installed around the world in commercial and industrial markets from data centers, industrial applications and power generation plants to hotels and universities. Tower Tech has led the industry since 1989 with our patented tower technologies that take sustainability and energy efficiency to the next level. Tower Tech is part of Creative Composites Group – the largest structural composites manufacturing group in the U.S.
