Tower Tech joined the Creative Composites Group in 2017 after many years of working with Creative Pultrusions. Tower Tech has continued to market and produce the most durable and long-lasting structure in the cooling tower industry. By utilizing the structural profiles engineered for the most corrosive conditions imaginable, Tower Tech’s rugged pultruded Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) design is suited for any cooling tower environment and location.
The already maintenance-friendly cooling tower offers exceptionally safe and easy servicing. For example, customers can do routine maintenance and inspections from ground level, eliminating the requirement for ladders or handrails.
This servicing method gives our customers many safety advantages for maintenance personnel with a “boots on the ground” safety approach. For non-routine and infrequent maintenance requirements like fill cleaning, most Tower Tech customers opt to use a temporary scaffold. Some customers prefer to use a man-lift when accessing the top of the towers.
FRP Safety systems
In some locations where temporary top access is not feasible, customers need to install a more permanent accessibility structure. For this reason, Tower Tech now offers FRP safety ladders, cages and handrail systems. However, we only offer these items for cooling tower units through Tower Tech’s Customer Service Department. Tower Tech utilizes the Creative Composites Group’s decades of expertise in structural fabrication and engineering design to meet customer’s site-specific requirements.
The design team and fabrication team engineer the highest-quality FRP system that is custom-made for Tower Tech Towers. The structural profiles offer a ladder and handrail system that yields a cost-effective and OSHA-approved fiberglass structure. The structure fits new and most legacy Tower Tech Towers for customers who require safe vertical climbing access. The safety ladder and handrails are offered as separate features but are pre-engineered for quick installation.
In addition to the low maintenance aspect of FRP ladder and handrail systems, these fiberglass products offer even more benefits. For instance, these benefits include corrosion resistance, lightweight, non-conductive, slip resistance and high strength properties for the longest life in the cooling tower industry.
