Tracking operational cost.
If you haven’t checked the cost of your industrial cooling tower lately, now might be a good time to do so. With monthly energy usage, If you have not been tracking your cooling tower’s operational cost, now might be a good time to do so. With monthly energy usage, chemical treatment, water usage, and maintenance cost, your operating expenses can add up quickly. If it’s about time to replace your existing unit, consider replacing it with a modular cooling tower from Tower Tech. Our proprietary design can handle all of your cooling needs at a lower price of total ownership, and the only thing that is cut is your costs of operations when using Tower Tech.
How are your cooling units different?
Most cooling tower manufacturers follow the same basic design. We realized, however, that this design has some fundamental flaws that are impossible to fix. There are excessive drift rates and energy usage, and many components only last for a few years. Legionella and bacteria growth is at unacceptable levels. They also do not fit well with the building’s aesthetics, standing out from everything else and not in a good way.

How do your industrial coolers fix these problems?
We fixed these problems by throwing out the traditional design and starting from scratch. Our design solves many of the issues were and many improvements include:
- Lighter and smaller. A conventional steel cooling tower weighs around 18,000 pounds for an 800-ton capacity, while Tower Tech only weighs less than 15,500 pounds.
- Lower drift rate. For years, the industry standard for drift rate was .002%, which was thought to be as low as it could get. With our design, we slashed that down to a mere .0004%.
- An enclosed basin. Bacteria thrive in warm, wet conditions, making cooling towers an ideal home for them. However, they also need sunlight. Because of our enclosed water basins, with no direct sunlight, bacteria miss out on a crucial nutrient, which greatly inhibits baterical growth.
- Better aesthetics. Our design has a reduced plume without open louvers, and the rotating equipment is below the unit, all for better visual aesthetics. Water noise is also nearly zero, making for quieter operation.
Can these smaller towers still handle heavy industrial processes?
Not only are our cooling units smaller and more energy-efficient, but they’re just as powerful as the traditional design. We were able to accomplish this by combining our new design and using the best materials available for our tower manufacturing. Some of these materials include a structure constructed of fiberglass and stainless steel. Our structures do not use galvanized metal or wood components, eliminating dangerous chemicals’ potential to leak into the environment.
We make sure your industrial cooling tower lasts.
Using better materials means that your cooling tower has a longer life expectancy. The components are graded to last over a decade, with the tower structure having a life expectancy of over three decades. We’re confident in our design and craftsmanship. That’s why we include a 15-year limited warranty on all of our industrial cooling towers. Find out why we’re the industry leaders, and give us a call today for a consultation or to learn more.
